Cowls are quick and make great gifts. There are sooooo many great cowl patterns. Since you have some time before the holidays, I thought I'd share some that are a little more intricate and fun.

Murano Squares Bandana by Susan Ashcroft is a stunning design. I love that it looks kind of like stained glass. You need a self striping yarn and a solid for this pattern. I'm recommending Entropy DK for your self striping yarn and Malabrigo Rios for your solid but you could also use Littoral DK or Tributary DK as well.

And of course, I have to recommend Truchet's Cowl by Xandy Peters. I'm still working on my version of this cowl. It's so fun to knit!

We have bundles put together for this cowl, so it is super easy for you to pick the color combo that you think your gift recipient will love. And of course, I have to recommend Truchet's Cowl by Xandy Peters. Let's talk about slippers! I feel like gifting slippers is like giving someone a hug. Here are a few slippers patterns that I like a lot...

The Better Dorm Boots slippers by Kris Basta, is a pattern that I come back to again and again. These are easy and fun to make. You hold two strands of worsted weight yarn together and you can use a contrasting color for the cuff and sole of the slippers. I'm recommending Ultra Wool from Berroco for these.

I've shared the Sailor Slippers before but I have to share them again. I think these are just so fun. The pattern calls for a super bulky weight yarn but you can easily make them by holding 2 strands of worsted weight, 100% wool yarn together. I'm recommending Classic Wool from Ella Rae for these.

Hats are quick, fairly easy and almost everyone can use one. If you want to make some handmade gifts in time for the holidays, you still have time but you probably want to get started soon!

If you have cat lovers in your life, this could be the perfect gift. The Stare by Katie Pomper is an adorable hat. Isn't it the cutest?! The pattern calls for a DK weight yarn, so I'm recommending Madrona DK. It is a soft, washable yarn that will make a cozy hat.

Cabled hats are always a classic. My Cabled Rib hat is a simple, cabled hat that comes in 3 sizes from baby to adult. This pattern also calls for a DK weight yarn and I've knit it in our Tidal DK and Tributary DK yarns.

The Gather Hat from Tin Can Knits has been on my to-knit list for awhile. This hat uses a smocking technique for the stitch pattern, which I think is really pretty. This hat also uses a DK weight yarn and I'm recommending Rambouillet from Juniper Moon Farm for this one. It's a soft and cozy yarn that is perfect for this hat.

You can get these patterns in the store, or on Ravelry. You'll find all of the yarns in the store or on our website!
