This year’s garden has taught me lessons I didn’t know I needed to learn. I think in the past, my green thumb just looked at a plant and away it grew. And it happened enough times, that when something did die, it seemed more a casualty that just happens rather than the end of the world. This year’s garden, a lot of things died, like a lot. And then so much time was spent preparing the garden, that actually planting many things also didn’t happen. But in the middle of not having a single cucumber, zucchini, butternut, or bean, I find myself eagerly looking forward to making sure I plant them next year. That I try again. That I work harder and practice my craft more diligently to get the outcome that I would rather have. And also, to appreciate the food and beauty that my garden is producing. Because let me tell you, when you have three cherry tomatoes instead of three hundred, those three magically taste sweeter. Not to say I don’t want more produce next year, I do, and I will, but what an interesting take on a crappy garden year, huh?

Got some beautiful baby bunnies ready for their new homes in the next two weeks. Twenty five each. Organically fed (you know us) and all sorts of colors. The boys are sweeter, and I am keeping most of the girls because they can live together, but if you pm me, I will gladly share what colors/genders I have available.

These are our unwashed, organically fed eggs, $6 a dozen.
Really proud of how we raise our flock.

We finally have enough laying hens to supply more families than we’re currently serving, so if you’ve been wanting fresh eggs, now’s a great time!
You can either preorder eggs to have them reserved for you, or you can pop in the farmstand at your convenience and grab a dozen or two out of the cooler.

We also have 13 teenage Ameraucanas and Whiting True Blues that should start laying beautiful Easter eggs this fall.
