To our favorite “Locals”,
We want to take a moment to personally thank you for your support over the last year. It has truly been such a wonderful time serving this community and providing a place for small local businesses to thrive and sell their products.
So, it comes with great sadness that we inform you that as of this Sunday, March 31st The Local will be closing it's doors permanently.
It has always been our greatest goal to operate with integrity and purpose, so it was important for us to end on a high note and not wait for the pressures of schedule and life to make things messy.
Over the last 6 months our family has experienced a great amount of life change that has created it's challenges with running a small and successful business while also balancing the everyday commitments of caring for our elderly loved ones, managing kids schedules and still allowing time for life to take place.
We often were put in a situation of having to choose between the two, and as you can imagine that became increasingly more difficult as the months passed and led us here to this decision.
We want to extend out sincerest gratitude to each of you who came out and supported us and our small business vendors over the last year. We are proud of what we accomplished and are blessed that we were able to help small local businesses and families find a place to launch and maintain products in our community.
Our hope is that your buck does not stop here, that you will find and continue to support these small businesses here on social media. If you found a favorite candle, find a way to continue to purchase them. If you loved the cinnamon rolls, drive out to Providence and pick you some up. If you loved the kids clothing and embroidery pieces continue to buy those here locally.
These businesses need your support and we pray that our time here in Eutawville was filled with purpose and that you felt loved and encouraged when you came in to visit with us.
The Local was so much more than a store, it was a place of conversation and connection, filled with laughs and turned strangers into neighbors. The Local is one of my greatest accomplishments and an era I will always hold dear to my heart.
We love you, we will miss you and we hope that when you see us around you won't be a stranger.
Remember...
Shop Local.
Support Local.
But most importantly...be a kind LOCAL!
With so much gratitude,
Alicia Bilton & Family
