Long time no post, I know. First, thank you. Thank you to my sweet reps who’ve kept H&O showing up even when I couldn’t (I seriously love collab posts) and to every one of you who continued to support me during my quiet season. Orders still come in, and I never take a single one for granted.
I love H&O and I love the people it’s brought into my life. I’m not going anywhere, but if I’m being honest, my focus has shifted. Many of you already know that I was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia this summer. It’s a chronic and progressive condition caused by a compressed brain nerve and the pain is… a lot. Sitting at home alone in those “pity me” thoughts started to feel heavier than pushing through and being around people, so in September I took a job in the school system.And everything changed.
I quickly realized that when I got home from work, I wasn’t dreaming up the next big H&O drop. I was thinking about my school babies. The one with holes in their shoes. The one who lights up at the smallest bit of attention because they don’t get it at home. The one who hasn’t had a real bath in days. The one who’s hungry and living off cereal every night. It didn’t take long to see that this is exactly where I’m meant to be right now. My heart stays busy trying to figure out how to help these kids and what more I can do. So what does that mean for H&O? Honestly… I’m still figuring it out. For now, I’m here. The site is open 24/7. In the last months I’ve been lucky enough to work on some amazing things .. a wave of new orders from the Roam With Us collection, my first huge bulk hat order for another business (with a few hiccups we survived together) and even some fun shirts for my coworkers. Let’s go Eagles!
One thing is certain, you’ll still see the pet themed adventure gear you all love and maybe even a few new ventures sprinkled in. I’ve learned with age that we adapt, we grow, and sometimes that shift is exactly what a brand needs too.
I’m planning a small, very limited Christmas drop during Thanksgiving break (school breaks are when new releases are most likely to happen). I’ll also be adding an open rep application to my bio soon. The less I’m able to show up visually on here, the more I appreciate the help in keeping H&O alive and seen.
