This Sunday June 22 is the finale of Civitas Ensemble's season finale. Hear the gorgeous Mendelssohn String Octet with the amazing players from Chicago Symphony. Definitely the concert to hear this spring!

Today we are featuring a fine violin by Dario Forero made in 1998 in Cremona, Italy, one of the excellent makers of the modern Creomonese school. His workmanship is exemplary and features beautiful square corners and a bold scroll. The cuts are super clean and the body is made from beautiful medium maple throughout. The tone is clear, bright and powerful with subtle colors and complexity.
