BAM! Another tote finished at Kountry Tyme Stitchin

This fishing tote was such a fun project that Lisa and I put together and this pattern may become one of our new favorites. We added a faux leather bottom, embroidery on both sides, an inside zipper pocket, divided slip pocket.

The best part? It went together smoothly with no seam-ripper frustration. We’re already thinking about a few upgrades for the next one—more structure in the bottom and possibly a snap closure.

This one isn’t for sale, but we had to share the finished results. What do you think—would you choose the “Gone Fishing” side or the “Part Time Hooker” side? 🎣

For the post, I’d use the outdoor “Gone Fishing” photo first, then the “Part Time Hooker” side, followed by one interior-pocket photo. That gives people the best mix of pretty and practical.

Sunday Funday at Kountry Tyme Stitchin'!

One of my favorite parts of creating is watching a customer's vision come to life.

This week my sewing table is full of possibilities...

-A custom requested horse-themed tote is beginning to take shape along with a Blue Gingham Daisy Tote for someone special
- Christmas tote bags are in the works.
Fabrics are being auditioned, pockets are being planned, and every detail is thoughtfully chosen.

Before the first stitch is sewn, I love laying everything out to see how the colors, textures, and fabrics work together. That's where the magic begins!

After a little family debate, our newest creative partner officially has a name!

Meet Dixie 💙

She's ready to help us create custom tote bags, farmhouse décor, kitchen towels, signs, decals, bumper stickers, and so many other fun projects here at Kountry Tyme Stitchin'.

We're still getting acquainted, so there may be a few learning curves along the way, but that's all part of the adventure. We can't wait to see where Dixie takes us and to share every new creation with you.

Years ago, I made this little doll for one of my grandaughers Laney Steeby when she was young. Recently she sent me a picture and said she still has her displayed in her bathroom.

Moments like these remind me why handmade treasures matter so much.

One of my favorite things about creating handmade pieces is watching them come together from fabric and thread into something that becomes part of a family's traditions.

These custom stockings were created for a special family collection, and each one was personalized just for them. From the customer's request-"This is what I like, these are the pieces I have and can you personalize them for my future husband and I".

I love knowing they'll be hung year after year and become part of Christmas memories for generations.
