Handmade Stone and Silver Jewelry I'm a self- taught, enthusiastic, down and dirty rock lover who has a lifestyle stuck in overdrive. My name is Sara Rappee. (P.S. Thank you for reading this.

I started down the path of making jewelry in 2008 when I discovered the Evansville Lapidary Society and fell in love with polishing stones. Despite acquiring a bachelor of arts degree I had almost no training as a jeweler, and the information gained from the one class I took was long gone. Gathering up a few books and magazines from the library I re-taught myself the basics and now gain my knowled

ge by pushing myself and my boundaries in metal. I can't wait to see how far I'll be in another 4 years. I'm only 28) :)
Now in 2017 at 34 the business has grown leaps and bounds. My style has changed, improved, and grown and the work I create is in such high demand I can hardly keep piece available for sale. Every piece is made from start to finish by my hands. I'm one of roughly 1% of jewelry artist who can say that. Stones are cut by me, the metal starts out as flat sheets of metal and drawn wire, everything you see I designed and formed with my two hands. A piece of me and positive energy goes into each and every piece. I would be honored if you choose a special piece of art to keep with you to make you smile :)

When you custom make a pair of earrings from some fossils you had at a show, and the polish on them isn't up to your jewelry standards.... you rework them till you can see the writing on the light bulb in the reflection on the stone. ✌
Bonus points for who can tell me the bulb wattage.

Czech Glass Buttons done Rappee Style. I told you some posts were coming and by golly I'm going to stay up on this. I just got all my rocks reorganized, labeled, and put back in their cubby hole places. Now my Kitchen and living room are starting to look more like a home over a warehouse.

Any-who... this is what I have from that last crazy big bunch of settings I made for these buttons. I have more on the bench to fill a few orders, but that my dear friends is for another day. Thought you might want to see some finished and AVAILABLE pieces. No waiting for the end of a show, you claim it, it's yours :)

Things have been a wee sporadic lately and I've not been keeping up online like I would love to. Hope you grace me with your forgiveness as I get back in the swing of things. Yesterday was my last show for an entire month. I take October off to focus on putting my efforts into the Lapidary's Gem Mineral show (I'm the show chair.) The good in that is I have time to play catch up. Finish orders that I somehow still keep piling up. And do lots of posting online. I think that should start off with some fun things too, so keep on the lookout. We need some excitement on here
