A new month of Pokémon adventures across Evansville! This month brings our regular Little League sessions, weekly Pokémon League play throughout the community, a special trip to Raptor Con 2026, and the official beginning of the 2027 Play! Pokémon Championship Series!

💙 LITTLE LEAGUE — SEPTEMBER 5 & 19
Little League returns to The Gaming Guild from 2:00–4:00 PM! Join us for another month of learning, playing, working toward Gym Badges, completing activities, and making new friends. Whether you're an experienced Trainer or picking up the Pokémon TCG for the very first time, everyone is welcome!

🦖 LITTLE LEAGUE IS HEADING TO RAPTOR CON! — SEPTEMBER 12
We're excited to announce that Evansville TCG: Little League will be joining Raptor Con 2026!

We'll be at the Old National Events Plaza hosting Pokémon TCG Learn-to-Play sessions, giving aspiring Trainers a chance to sit down, learn the basics, and discover the game we all love!

We'll have much more information coming soon in a dedicated Raptor Con post, so stay tuned! 👀

🏆 LEAGUE CHALLENGE WEEKEND — SEPTEMBER 19 & 20
With the new Championship Series underway, September brings two opportunities for Trainers to jump into competitive play!

Evansville Toys & Games TCG will host a League Challenge on Saturday, September 19, followed by another at The Gaming Guild on Sunday, September 20 at 12:00 PM.

The September 19 Challenge isn't pictured on our calendar due to limited space, so be sure to add it to yours!

Our local Pokémon Leagues continue throughout September at Main Phase One, The Hobby Den, Evansville Toys & Games, Comic Quest, Upscale Trading Cards, and The Gaming Guild, plus Pokémon Club at Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library Central on September 2!

🏅 THE 2027 CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES BEGINS!
September 1 officially kicks off the 2027 Play! Pokémon Championship Series! A brand-new season means new tournaments, new challenges, and a fresh opportunity for Trainers to begin their journey through competitive Pokémon.

🎴 30TH ANNIVERSARY TCG EXPANSION — SEPTEMBER 16
September also marks the worldwide launch of the special 30th Anniversary Pokémon TCG expansion on September 16, with the set becoming legal for tournament play beginning September 30!

Finally, as we head into the first weekend of September, we'd like to wish all of our Trainers, families, volunteers, League staff, and friends throughout our Pokémon community a safe and relaxing Labor Day!

🌎 2026 WORLD’S CELEBRATIONS — AUGUST 29 & 30
Celebrate the 2026 Pokémon World Championships weekend with our local Pokémon community! Evansville Toys & Games TCG will host a World’s Celebration tournament on August 29 at 3:00 PM, following that we'll have another World's Celebration on Championship Sunday August 30 at The Gaming Guild, details to be announced.

Participating players can receive a special San Francisco-inspired Pikachu promo card while supplies last! Division winners can also earn special “WINNER”-stamped promo cards, themed deck boxes, and card sleeves! 🏆

We're hosting a pajama drive!

We are currently accepting donations for the Isaiah 1:17 Project, a local program responsible for meeting the needs of children awaiting fostering families, and supporting them in many stages of care.

They request new items only (with tags), and we'll be accepting all sizes from preemie to adult.

We will be taking items until September 21st. Please reach out with any questions!

Come on out Sunday, August 30th from 1pm to 4pm to Learn to Play the brand new Cyberpunk TCG.

At this FREE Learn to Play, one of our staff will show you the ends and outs of how to play this exciting TCG and get you a leg up on the competition when the game fully launches this November.

Hi friends, here is a quick update to the situation regarding Magic: The Gathering - The Hobbit Booster Packs, courtesy of our Manager of Events Ops, Taylor K.

I am going to keep this short, and get to the part that is important to all of you as quick as I can.
Wizards of the Coast was not forthright to our distributors, and gave them very little information, which in turn meant we were also in the dark. They also have seen fit not to inform the public about their distribution disaster either. As it stands, LGSs and distributors were not notified until tuesday afternoon that Booster Packs would not be delivered until mid-September.

We are very disappointed in how WotC is treating the LGS and player community, but all we can do at this point is honor the promises that were made to you by us.

We will be opening all remaining prerelease kits we have, and pulling the very small amount of product that we held for future event support, in order to make sure each of you can redeem the tickets that were issued by us.

Anyone with a prerelease prize pack voucher is free to come into the store starting now to redeem them. We will be also be able to honor all Booster Box vouchers that were purchased for anyone who bought only one. We will still honor those that are outstanding as soon as we receive additional product, or are happy to give a refund. Our hands are slightly tied in that we cannot fulfill box sales by ripping prerelease kits due to the fact that you would not get a box topper.

We will still be able to hold one draft event for The Hobbit this upcoming Saturday at 3PM, and our Sealed League will still be able to run as scheduled. However, we will not have The Hobbit prizing for FNMs or any other MTG events for the foreseeable future.

We appreciate everyone's understanding during this situation, and will continue to do everything we can to support you and our community.

What a weekend! We had so much fun with The Hobbit pre-release, we forgot to take almost any pictures 😵‍💫

Y'all showed up for us as always, and we had just shy of 200 players over 5 events in 3 days! We're so proud of how our Guild Hall has been coming along, and everyone's support each week reminds how we got here.

We also want to shout out our amazing staff for flexing their creativity during this set— Shannon made a delicious recreation of Bilbo's slice of home, and August is the artist behind our tokens!

Thank you, truly, for your continued support of our small business. It's what keeps our lights on and pays our committed staff. We'll always strive to save y'all a seat at our table.
