We're long overdue for an RPG SHOWCASE!

We have exciting news! We have a guest GM, Henry Kathman (he/him) this summer, and he will be showcasing TWO amazing games!

Call of Cthulhu:

This will run 3-4 sessions each Tuesday at 5pm in our private game room, starting June 30th. Up to 6 slots will be available for investigators of any experience level, at $20 per person each session. Pregenerated characters will be provided. This custom adventure, written by Henry, follows a 1920’s Gatsby-inspired investigation delving into tragic romance, grand conspiracies, and of course, cosmic horror!

Because of the mature nature of this advenure, these sessions will be reserved for players 18 and up.

Slugblaster:

Step into a multiverse where the newest extreme sport has you and your friends hopping into different crazy worlds to pull off sick tricks, go viral, and escape your boring home life.

Slugblaster is an easy-to-learn rpg that will be broken up into a series of one-shots each week. Portal-hop in for one session to give it a try, or speed-run each week for a real XP boost!

These will run for players aged 10+ on Thursdays at 5pm in our play space, at $10 per person, starting July 2nd!

We're just four days out from the Pokemon Little League season 2 kickoff, here at The Guild! We are beyond excited to support them, and we hope to see you there!

Trainers we have just 4 Days Until Little League Returns! 🎉

One of the questions we hear most often is:

"My child has never played Pokémon before. Can they still join?"

Absolutely!

Our Learn-to-Play activities are designed specifically for new Trainers and families who are just getting started. No experience is required, and we'll provide everything needed to learn the basics.

✅ No cards required
✅ No prior experience needed
✅ All learning materials provided
✅ Parents are welcome to learn alongside their children

Our volunteer Professors will guide Trainers through the fundamentals of the game, teaching everything from the card types and turn sequence to strategy and sportsmanship. The skills they learn can be taken home and practiced with cards they may already have, helping them continue their journey long after the event ends.

By participating in Learn-to-Play, Trainers advance their reading comprehension, basic math, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a fun and engaging way.

Whether your Trainer is opening their very first pack or already knows a few of the basics, Little League is a welcoming place to learn, grow, and make new friends.

Just 4 days remain until we begin our Johto Season at The Gaming Guild!

We can't wait to welcome a whole new class of Trainers on Saturday, June 20th, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ⚡

Hi Friends, here is this week's Event Spotlight for The Gaming Guild:
On Monday, June 15th we have our first Rare Battle for Union Arena: Tokyo Ghoul at 6PM. Only 8 player slots available, first come - first serve, so show up early, registration will begin at 5PM.
Our regular weekly Union Arena events will also occur as scheduled with special promos!
Tuesday, June 16th we close out the Magic: The Gathering Secrets of Strixhaven season with Two-Headed Giant Commander at 6PM.
Thursday, June 18th is our final Rare Battle for Union Arena: Tokyo Ghoul at 6PM. Only 8 player slots available, first come - first serve, so show up early, registration will begin at 5PM.
Then we blast into the Magic: The Gathering - Marvel Super Heroes Prerelease Weekend June 19th-21st!
Friday: Single Player Sealed at 6PM
Saturday and Sunday: Single Player Sealed at 10:30AM and Two-Headed Giant Team at 4:30PM both days.
Finally, we are extremely proud to welcome Evansville Trading Card Games Pokemon Little League to The Gaming Guild for the first event of their new season on Saturday, June 20th from 2-4 PM!

Hey friends, here is this weeks Event Spotlight!
Tuesday, June 9th we have the final MTG Commander Party for Secrets of Strixhaven from 4-9PM.
Friday, June 12th brings another One Piece Pirates Party, and Magic Academy: Deck Building both at 6PM.
Saturday, June 13th, we have the Summoner Skirmish for Riftbound: Unleashed at 11:30AM, followed by our FINAL Magic Presents: Open The Archive Draft featuring Secrets of Strixhaven at 1PM.
Sunday, June 14th we have our first Monthly Value Vintage Tournament at Noon, we are excited to try to serve this underserved format!
Then at 6PM we have the very special Magic Presents: Avengers Academy! This special event is a FREE learn to play for Two-Headed Giant, one of the fastest growing Prerelease formats. Come get ready for the Marvel Super Heroes Prerelease weekend and get an exclusive Welcome Deck, as well as cool promos and giveaways!

Hey folks, we have another big weekend ahead!
First on Friday, June 5th we have our first Release Event for One Piece OP-16, The Time of Battle, starting at 6PM.
Saturday, June 6th is a full day, starting with our Monthly Warhammer Age of Sigmar Turbo RTT starting at 11AM, followed by a Pre-Launch Event for Dungeons & Dragons: Ravenloft, The Horrors Within, and our MTG Premodern Tournament, both starting at 11:30AM. Then at 1PM is our second to last Magic Presents: Open The Archive Draft Event, and we finish off the day with our second Release Event for One Piece: The Time of Battle at 3PM.
Finally, on Sunday, June 7th, we start things off with our final Pre-Launch Event for Ravenloft at 11:30AM. Then starting at Noon, we have our Magic Presents: Pride Celebration, a commander charity event supporting IYG. Come out and support this great organization and we will be handing out pins and promo cards!

We are a month away from our Summer Used Board Game Yard Sale!

Have old board games and RPG books taking up space? Lets find them a new home!

We are hosting a community yard sale for used board games and RPG books Saturday, June 27th from 8am-11am central time.

Have stuff to sell? Fill out a yard sale price sheet and drop your items off from Saturday, June 20th - Thursday June 25th between the hours of 11am and 8pm.

How selling works in 5 easy steps:
1. Price your items with a price sheet.

2. Drop off your items the week leading up to the sale. Prices are yard sale style. What we call "priced to move" in the business.
3. We will handle selling your items on the day of the event.
4. Pick up any items that didn't sell.
5. Choose which form of payment you would like for your payout: 70% in store credit or 50% in Cash

Important Dates:
Drop off your items between the hours of 11am and 8pm Saturday, June 20th - Thursday, June 25th.
Event takes place June 27th from 11am to 3pm.
Get your payout and pickup unsold items between Sunday, June 28th - Friday, July 3rd

Hi Gaming Guild friends,
We hope everyone has an enjoyable Memorial Day, and just a reminder that we ARE OPEN today, May 25th, from 11AM-9PM.

Now, for the event spotlight, we have a big weekend this weekend!
Starting on Friday, May 29th with a FREE Magic: The Gathering Learn to Play, the Prerelease event for Flesh and Blood: Omens of the Third Age, and One Piece Pirates Party, all starting at 6PM.

Saturday, May 30th we have our MTG: Secrets of Strixhaven Store Championship (featuring Standard Format) and our Warhammer 40k Two-Headed Ogryn Doubles Tournament, both starting at 11AM. Then at 1PM is the Gundam Card Game Newtype Challenge Mission 3. Finally, we have Magic Presents: Open The Archive, a special draft event featuring Secrets of Strixhaven at 3PM.

We close out the week on Sunday, May 31st with Sealed League for Star Wars Unlimited, and the Catan Board Game Local Qualifier, both at 1PM.

We are excited to announce our next season of Casual 2 Round Turbo RTTs. Players have really enjoyed these events so we've decided to expand the event series and include Age of Sigmar! Starting in June we will be hosting monthly Turbo RTT's for both Warhammer 40k and Age of Sigmar. We've designed the Turbo RTT to help you practice tournament play, meet other community members, and have fun in this awesome hobby! Players of all skill levels welcome!

Also, With the expansion of the store we will likely be increasing the max player counts of these events once we've opened up our additional play space next door!
