After seven incredible years I have made the decision to close our beautiful Opie & Eleanor’s storefront. While emotional, this is not a sad decision. I am blessed with a lot of big and little people I can’t wait to have more time with.
Seven years ago this month, I had the opportunity to fulfill a dream I had for decades. I am so grateful for all of you that allowed me to do that. For seven years, you have shown up in big ways. We opened six months before Covid and you were there. We had heavy construction on the roads leading to us and you were there. We have had a lot of life since opening and you have been there. Two college graduations, the care of and loss of my precious in-loves, three weddings and within the last twenty-two months five grandchildren! You have loved on and celebrated with us every step of the way.
You have trusted us to share in your celebrations with every shower, birthday, wedding, baby, bereavement and just because gift you have purchased from us. We pray you have felt our gratitude, prayers of thanksgiving and prayers of loss with each and every one.
From the beginning I have said Opie & Eleanor’s was my fourth child. Wow, have I loved that fourth child. However, what I have loved even more are the relationships I have made with so many of you. They say a small business owner does a happy dance every time a purchase is made. It has always been more about that person just walking in the door for me. I pray you have felt that. Not just with me, but with every employee I have been honored to have here.
There will be more thank you’s, details of closing and fun memory posts in the coming days and weeks. But this post is all about you. And taking the opportunity to thank you for being an extended member of our family. We will forever be grateful❤️
