Some places announce themselves before you even walk through the door. 😂✌️

We stumbled across The Amish Hippie near The Caverns, and this place was pure Wayward energy — peace signs, old TVs, flowers, vintage weirdness and the kind of porch that makes you want to sit down and stay awhile.

The best stops are so often the ones you never planned.

Glowworms disappeared from Nosterfield for more than a century.

They weren’t broken. Their light was still there—their environment could no longer support it.

After the former gravel pit was restored, their lights returned.

If your light isn’t shining, maybe you aren’t broken either. Maybe your environment simply isn’t allowing you to shine.

I went to Tennessee because I needed to unplug.

Music doesn’t merely distract a stressed brain. Research suggests it can help the brain and body find their way back out of stress.

I already knew that in my body.

When I need to ground myself, I go to the woods and sing with my whole voice.

Years ago, record-label executives told me the music was there. The lyrics were great. The voice was phenomenal.

My body simply wasn’t what they wanted to sell.

So I ran. I took my voice somewhere the world couldn’t touch it.

But I never stopped singing—and I’m not running anymore.

The Wayward House has helped me find more than lost things. Somewhere along the way, I found my voice.

Now I’m bringing it back to the world.

Saturn already had a six-sided atmospheric pattern at its north pole.

Apparently, that wasn’t weird enough.

Now Hubble has confirmed an enormous, evolving ten-sided atmospheric wave around its south pole—and the entire shape is made of wind.

Scientists may be watching geometry emerge from chaos in real time.

Maybe my life isn’t falling apart.

Maybe the pattern is still forming.

Eight months ago I was sitting in an office slinging gravel. Now I’m in a van, meeting people, following stories, and expanding my world. Dolly said it best: find out who you are, then do it on purpose.
