Fish Camp Weekley Fishing Report

Flathead Lake
Whitefish bite starting to slow up a little.
North end try Woods Bay point, east side of delta, Somers Bay area, Carlione Point and West Shore area to Painted Rocks.

Sourh end
Yellow Bay, Skidoo Bay, Bird Island area then over around Wild Horse island, Shelter island and Methodist camp. Fish on south tend to be running bigger in size. Try JT Tackle new twister, Zimmer new Rattle Dzastors in a new gold fleck color. Depths been 50 to 60' early mornings.

Lake trout action has been picking up out there a bit also. Try casting large tube baits on the delta or Painted rocks area.

Perch has been good around Big arm to Walstad area. Smallmouth action been great around most of the lake also

Kokanee bite has been picking up around the valley as well.

Middle Thompson
Good early mornings daylight to about 9 is been great for fish up to 20" trolling or jigging.

Dickey lake been productive for decent fish in 12 ro 14" range. Trolling mid lake or out from boat launch area.

Bitteroot picking up well for nice fsh also. The water is low but still getting in. Try mid lake trolling east shore or north end out from island 50 to 60' suspended.

Crystal lake
Good Kokanee early mornings mostly smaller size but good numbers.

Hubbart Reservoir
Good smallmouth action near the dam area also few nice rainbows mixed in.

Flathead River sloughs
Fennon, Church and Halfmoon sloughs have been good for nicer pike starting to hit. Try large jerk baits or swimbaits.

Upper Thompson
Perch and pike action been good on the middle and upper lobes.

Blanchard lake
Crappie and bass action still going well very w**d so top water for bass has been good.

Syliva lake
Good grayling and cutts action on small wet flys or spinners.

Swan lake
Pike bite starting up again try south end or any bays with good deep w**d beds. Dead bait peamouth or smelt or large swimbaits.
Try for lake trout along the river mouth or hwy side with flashers and squids or large spoons.

Loon lake (TCL)
Producing good numbers of large and smallmouth try trolling mid lake for nice rainbows. Crappie bite been good late eves along deep w**d edges.

Flathead river (North Fork)
Fishing well for Cutts and few rainbows, flys try hoopers, humpys, stimulaters and purple haze. Spinner try panther martins and roostertails. Colors in spinners black/ gold or whites. Be sure to check regs on Flathead river system.

Big Fish went to Brandon and Adam with a 3.93lb largemouth!

Fish Camp Weekley Fishing Report

Flathead Lake

Whitefish bite is full swing!!! All reports are saying 50 to 60' water seem to be best depth to look for them. North end try Sommers Bay, Hatchery Bay, Caroline Pt, Delta, Woods Bay and West Shore Sate Park area to Painted Rocks. Fish up on north running smaller in size 1 to 3lbs.

South End try Skiddo Bay, Yellow Bay to Blue Bay, Finley point, Narrows, Rollins area, Shelter And Cedar Island, Elmo Bay, Big arm and near Walstad.
Fish on south average bigger 2 to 5lbs this year.
JT Tackle disco perch have been great. Zimmer Rattle Dzastors are working well also. Mr.Riley jigs and Bone Collector jigs along with Pete's Whitefish slayer are all doing well. Sizes are 3/8 up to 3/4 Oz all usually green color variation to match the perch hatch. Bring a good rubber coated net, a large cooler with lots of cold ice the whitefish get soft very quickly be sure to ice them down well.

Lake trout will be mixed in with the whitefish try casting or jigging large tube baits or swimbaits in same depth ranges. Trolling try 120 to 150' not to far off from the whitefish spots. Big flatfish trolled slow on bottom work well.

Smallmouth bass action also going good on the lake, try ned rigs, swimbaits, tubejigs casting along boulder or deep points. Dock fishing can also be good for them.

Flathead river and forks
North fork fishing well, try small spinners and spoons. Gold or white colors, flys hoppers, ants, humpys or purple haze. Main steam lower end between prestine and old steel producing little bigger fish.

Swan lake
South and north end lake producing good pike very early mornings or late evenings. Troll shoreline with small spoons or flicker shad for rainbows.

Middle Thompson and lower Thompson
Producing good salmon early mornings. Troll small dodgers with pink or orange hoochies. Middle fish are up to 20" this year.

McGregor lake still producing good number of lake trout jigging 120 to 150' water small glo grubs from zimmer working well. Try shorlines for smallmouth bass.

Flathead River Sloughs
Early mornings casting big jerkbaits or swim baits producing nice pike. Late evenings crappie bite picks up in Fennon and Church. Good largemouth action in those 2 also.

Crystal lake
Early mornings been good for smaller salmon few nice perch.

Lower Stillwater
Good pike action 2 to 5lb fish, look for bigger perch up on west end 15 to 20' water.

Noxon Reservoir
Bass action has been very good lots of nice smallmouth and large mouth. Walleye bite has been picking up very well also. Try 20 to 30 water near Vermilion and down toward the dam off the Islands and deeper points.

All your high mountain lakes usually fish very well this time of year. Try small spoons and spinners or small dry flys work well.

If your wanting to travel a bit try Holter Reservoir for the giant slamon up to 6lbs. Trolling near the dam has been productive.

Lake Francis
Walleye bite has been good with fish in that 16 to 22" range. There good water in it this year so fishing has been productive.

Whitefish bite is fired up now! JT Tackle just dropped off a whole load of his Whitefish jigs!!! South end lake try Elmo Bay, Rollins area, Skidoo Bay, Narrows and Yellow Bay. North end of lake try Delta, Woods Bay, Sommers, Caroline Pont and Painted Rocks area. Depth mostly 50 to 60'!! Come on down to Fish Camp and load up! Dont forget the net and a cooler of ice!!

Fish Camp Weekley Fishing Report

Flathead lake
Whitefish bite starting to get better everyday. Reports from Skiddo Bay, Finley point, Yellow Bay, Rollins and Elmo on south end lake. Delta, Sommers bay and Carolin point some numbers of fish! Try little deeper 50 to 70'. Jt Tackle, Zimmers, Bone Collector and Mr. Jim Rileys jisgs all work well, try green flys tied in above tipped with maggots. Perch bite been good on south end try 15 to 30' water. Lake trout bite been good around Elmo Bay and Shelter Isands. Smallmouth bass action has been great all over the lake!

Blanchard lake
Crappie fishing in later evening been good, try top water for bass.

Rodgers Lake
Try early or late for Grayling small spinners or leech pattern flys can be good.

Syliva lake
Good Cutthroat action casting small spoons or spinners

McGregor lake
Still producing lake trout 120 to 140' water. Try jigging small tubes or twister tails. Try trolling small flatfish or Flicker shads for rainbows
Smallmouth try tubes and crawfish patterns.

Middle Thompson
Salmon bite been good for great fish up to 18" trolling has been productive. Small Dodges and mico hoochies has been good tipped with corn and maggots. Perch bite been good with live leeches along w**d beeds.

Dickey lake
Salmon bite still good for 12 to 14" fish. Jigging and trolling has been working well. Good bass along the Hwy side with ned rigs and tubes.

Flathead river and Forks
Doing well fly fishing early mornings try hoppers, ants, purple haze and humpys. Spin fishing try little cleos, panther Martins and Kamloop.

Lower Flathead river above Flathead lake.
Pike action been good very early in mornings in deep w**d beds. Bass action also good in Fennon and Church try crappie action late in evening.

Lake Mary Ronan
Perch bite picking up a little but still pretty slow, salmon bite ok early in mornings with are very nice 12 to 14".

Lower Stillwater
Good pike action north end try spinnerbaits and jerk baits. Lots of perch a few decent size fis up to 12"

Hubbart Reservoir
Lots of smallmouth bass action, try tubes jigs, swimbaits aor crawfish ned rigs.

Swan river near Ferndale
Good pike action above the spillway. Try big spoons or spinnerbaits or dead baits.

Swan Lake
Try north end for rainbows and lake trout. Troll small spoons or flatfish along shore lines.
South try deep w**d for pike with swimbaits and jerkbaits. Lake trout try along the hwy side with flashers and spinner flys.

Noxon Reservoir
Bass and walleye action has been good. Try do around Martin creek bay area and the Islands down around the dam. Look for walleye in 15 to 25' water with jigs and crawlers or leeches.

Flathead Valley Bass Leauge tournament results from the Flathead River last night!

Adam Olson and Brandon Bailey take 1st place with 87.50" with 5 nice bass.

Rick Blair and John take 2nd place with 78.50"

Cash Cole and Calvin take 3rd with 77"

Big Fish went to Adam and Brandon with a 4.16lb largemouth.

Next event will be August 11th TBA location soon.

Fish Camp Weekley Fishing Report

Middle Thompson
Salmon bite starting to pick up. Trolling has been best. Small dodgers with micro hoochies in orange or green. Nite bite on salmon can also be good jigging. Try 40 to 60' water depths. Perch and pike been good on west end in deep w**ds.

Flathead Lake
South end a few whitefish starting to show up. Try the narrows, Elmo, BigArm and Walstad area. Perch action picking up in those same areas. Try 35 to 50' for perch and whitefish. Lake trout try around Bull and little Bull isalnd and Cedar and Shelter Isalnds trolling Flatfish or big diving plugs in 80 to 120'

North end Flathead
Try Delta area trolling Flashers and flys or Brads in perch colors for lake trout in 100 to 150' water. Mid lake bar productive also. Smallmouth action good in Somers bay or Bigfork area to Woods bay.
West shore area to Painted rocks trolling always a good place to try also.

Dickey lake
Salmon still decent jigging or trolling 50 to 70' try for smallmouth along the hwy side.

Beaver lakes
Big Beaver been decent for nice salmon and some good perch. Dollar and Woods been decent for rainbows off the shore.

Blanchard Lake
Good crappie action lots fish up to 12" Bass fishing topwater has been good.

Island lake
Bass fishing been very good for fish up to 5lbs lots perch and few pike.

Smith lake
Lots pike in the 2 to 5lb range. Try spinnerbaits, buzz baits or topwater. Early mornings been good or evenings.

Whitefish lake
Laketrout action on northend been good trolling smaller flatfish or big spoons. Pike action on swimbaits in the bays.

Flathead river and forks
Starting to drop and fish good. Spin fishing try panther martins or roostertails. Golds and orange colors are good. Flys small hoppers, purple haze, humps and simulators been good.

Fisher River
Decent fishing for some rainbows and brookies. Small spinners and spoons or worms. Flys ants and beetles or royal wulffs.

Fennon and Church slough
Bass action has been very good with creatures baits and senkos. Try deep w**ds with jerkbaits and spinnerbaits for pike. Crappie look in deeper w**ds with small minnow baits.

Hubbard Reservoir
Lots or smallmouth bass up to 3lbs. Try swimbaits or ned rigs.

Lower Stillwater
Lots decent perch up on north end above isalnds. Try live leechs or small jigs with crawlers. Lots small pike on spinnerbaits or spoons.

Lake Francis
Walleye action has been good with fish in 18 to 24" range. Bottom bouncer in 18 to 25' water has been good depth.
