🚨 FISHING REPORT UPDATE 10/1/26 🚨

Fall fishing is in full swing across Northwest Montana! Whether you're chasing salmon, jigging for lake trout, or targeting fall pike, here’s what’s happening on the water right now:

🔥 TOP HIGHLIGHTS
🐟 Kokanee Salmon: Snagging season is ongoing (Open Sept. 15 – Nov. 30 for Kootenai Falls/Swinging Bridge section, To***co River, Graves Creek). Limit: 20 daily / 40 in possession. Runs are slowing up, but reports show fish are still being snagged in To***co River and Graves Creek!
🎣 Flathead Lake: Lake trout are moving shallow for their fall spawn (60–80 ft). Jigging white tubes tipped with cut bait has been the top producer.
🐊 Northern Pike: Active on w**d edges at Lower Stillwater and Smith Lake. Try dead bait on a Pike Hanger and flashier lures are getting bit!
🐟 Echo & McGregor Lakes: Bass are moving to deeper structure and rocks, taking slow-moving presentations like Senkos, Ned rigs, and Googan Bait Craws.
