There’s something so good about watching the young padawans learn big lessons. 🔧🚲

Today we had the next generation of Evergreen bikers in the shop, elbow deep in brake installs, asking a hundred questions a minute (we loved every one of them).

This is where it all starts. Not on a podium, but at a workbench, learning which way the caliper faces and why it matters.

Someday these kids will be shredding trails we haven’t even built yet. For now, we’ll settle for covered in bike grease,grinning ear to ear, and learning the ways

Keep wrenching, little rippers. We’ve got you. ❤️

Booking our last WFR of the season Sept 23-27 in our link in bio

My buddy who always drops in first.
My kid finally comfortable on blue runs.
My partner stronger on the climbs than I am.

I’d do anything for them.

So why does anything stop at snacks and an avy check? 🎒

Truth is, four miles up a singletrack or a mile off the groomed run, there’s no ambulance.

No hang tight, help’s coming.

Help is whoever’s standing there.

That’s me.

⛑️ Wilderness First Responder training closes that gap.

→ Patient assessment built for the backcountry, not the ER
→ Recognizing and managing shock
→ Spinal injury protocols when I can’t wait for help
→ Splinting fractures with what I’ve got
→ Handling hypothermia, heat illness, altitude
→ And the hardest part: making the call to evacuate when I’m the only medically trained person for miles, bad weather, someone I love watching me for the answer

I already plan the trip. Check the weather. Carry the extra layer.

This is the next layer. The one that matters most.

It’s not about fear.

It’s about being the person my crew doesn’t have to worry about not having. 🏔️
