I have serious concerns and important questions regarding the Fire Service and emergency first responders in B**g County.
Last night, a vehicle reportedly remained on fire for more than five hours. This situation raises a critical question: Where were the fire service responders, and was an emergency call made?
If B**g County now has a dedicated fire station and fire truck, the public deserves to know what happened. Was the Fire Service notified? If so, how long did it take for responders to arrive? And if they were unable to respond, what was the reason?
Another major concern is public awareness. Why aren't there stronger and more consistent awareness campaigns informing residents across B**g County about the official fire emergency hotline, how to contact the Fire Service, and what to do during an emergency?
Most importantly:
Is the Fire Service emergency response available only to residents of Gbarnga, or does it cover the entire county?
B**g County is much larger than Gbarnga. Residents in other communities also deserve timely access to emergency services when their lives and property are at risk.
These questions are not intended to attack or undermine our first responders. Rather, they are being raised because lives and property matter. The public deserves transparency and a clear understanding of how the emergency response system operates, what areas are covered, which emergency numbers residents should use, and what they can expect when they call for help.
We respectfully call on the Fire Service, B**g County authorities, and other relevant emergency agencies to address these concerns publicly and provide clarity to the people.
Our people deserve an effective and responsive fire emergency systemβone that is accessible to every community in B**g County when help is needed.
