We love happy endings! Some of you may remember Tilly, she was found behind a CVS in West Windsor and brought to a large local “no kill” shelter. Tilly was in rough shape and probably close to dying…she was emaciated, her mouth was full of painful sores and infection, she had a urinary tract infection, an upper respiratory infection, impacted a**l glands, was matted and filthy. She was absolutely in terrible pain and miserable…the shelter where she was immediately deemed her feral and probably not worth saving. Fortunately the finder who originally brought her in got in touch and we were able to pull Tilly and get her the care she needed. This older girl has recently had a clean bill of health and was cleared for adoption! Yesterday she went home to her new mom! Vera, another older girl living rough and emaciated on the streets also found her new home this week after several weeks of TLC and getting medically sound…this poor angel was outside wasting away due to untreated hyperthyroidism. We are beyond thrilled these “hopeless” cats have nothing but good health and happiness ahead and we pray it’s for a long time! We cannot do this without the kind & generous donors who contribute financially and the amazing fosters who care for these cats so they can have the chance to recover, rebound and thrive! This work is most often exhausting, heart wrenching and draining….wins like this keep us focused and motivated because for every bad day, a Tilly or a Vera getting a second chance at a happy life makes it all worthwhile. These cats were discarded like garbage, they are anything but.
