The 26th Annual BBQ and Fly In starts tomorrow in Downtown Excelsior Springs, Missouri. The weekend is chock full of events for our community and tourists including On The Rocks Whiskey Stroll Friday evening, the Home Brew Contest on Saturday which Vesta Hearth & Home is proudly sponsoring and of course the BBQ contest! For more details go to visitexcelsior.com including ticket sales! RV's and trailers will start rolling in tonight and tomorrow morning downtown which means I will get to start enjoying the wonderful aroma of BBQ!! Downtown shops, bars and restaurants and our wonderful museum will all be open during the event but Broadway will be closed to traffic. There is however, ample parking surrounding Broadway so come down and enjoy it all. Today, downtown streets are all OPEN so come visit Vesta and shop some new fall arrivals!

From summer to fall. Vesta Hearth & Home is slowly bringing in fall items despite the fact that we have a little over a month left of summer! Come in today and find a bit of both seasonal items. Vesta Hearth & Home is participating in the On The Rocks Whiskey Stroll event this Friday night in Downtown Excelsior Springs, Missouri and we are getting ready for all you whiskey lovers!! Hello everyone!! For those of you that stopped by the shop this past week and found us closed, I do apologize. While we were on vacation earlier in July, Allen and I were in the process of closing on a home and some property just outside of Excelsior Springs. We did close and then had to hurry up and prepare to move which we are in the process of finishing. We will be open next week for regular business hours starting Tuesday from noon to 4 and then Wed - Sat 10 to 5. Hope to see you next week. Have a wonderful weekend.

Vesta Hearth & Home will re-open tomorrow Friday, July 17th after we return from our family vacation to Bennett Spring. Great trip with kids and grandkids. Got to witness one of my grandsons catching his first fish and I caught my daily trout limit each day that I fished!! Family first!! Hope to see you tomorrow and Saturday 10-5 at the shop!!

I couldn't resist.... It's all about America this week. Breakfast In America was released by Supertramp in 1979 when I was a junior in high school and I still love listening to it! This album is for sale at Vesta Hearth & Home and both the album cover and vinyl are in very good condition. You can also listen to it at the shop! We are open today and tomorrow 10-5 and 9-noon on Saturday. Come see us!!
