New purlsoho yarns just arrived. Linen quill, sweetgrass, and santolina. They are all fi*****ng weight. Linen quill is wool, alpaca and linen, Santolina is organic cotton, rayon from bamboo and h**p and sweet grass is undyed organic cotton and super fine alpaca.! So beautiful to work with.

The /top!!! What a hit it was during the crawl! I have been wanting to try illusion knitting for a very long time and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is!

The shawl photo is the by but this is my version of it. I have made it according to the pattern previously, but this time I decided to change it up a little bit. I dyed mini skeins in assigned pooling colorways to have a variation of colors for the squares. Plus, I didn’t put nearly as many squares on it —did the spacing randomly, but I like it. I put kits together with different groupings of color for the squares. they will be available at the shop, at and also on the website.

Last two days of the steel valley yarn crawl! I have a little bit of our call the midwife show color left and a decent selection of Grantchester. When they’re gone, they’re gone for good. Also, there is a freshly made banana nut bread and chocolate chip cookies just out of the oven. raggz is here from 10 to 4 today.

tomorrow is the last day and our hours are 12 to 4. Looking forward to seeing you.!

but don’t forget the PA yarn quest runs through October 31. I’ve been stamping a lot of of those passports as well and it seems like everyone is really having a good time.
