Microworld Games

Down to the last couple of hours now on the Kickstarter, which has outpaced my expectations a bit given the impromptu nature of the campaign. Thanks to everyone that has pledged and to people sharing news of the campaign, excited to start spinning some metal on these!

Launching Two New 6mm Fantasy Armies!

08/26/2026

1 week in and we are now officially funded! Big thanks to those that have backed so far. A couple people reached out to me asking about skirmish packs, so I have now also added skirmish pack tiers and associated add-ons to the campaign for a bit lower barrier to entry.

Our new Kickstarter is now live for the funding of 2 complete new 6mm Fantasy armies (Amazons and Undead Pharaohs) produced in lead-free pewter, with the exception of the Bone Giants which will be provided as 3D prints.

All models were sculpted by Martin Baker, with the exception of the Bone Giants which were sculpted by Todd Harris

I've just submitted the Undead Pharaoh and Amazon 6mm fantasy expansion Kickstarter for approval. I'm hoping to launch late next week and I'm excited for these armies to finally see the light of day.

In the meantime, here are some preview shots of master castings I am using for the campaign.

Some fun new 6mm fantasy releases up in the store for the Demon army sculpted by Todd Harris.

We are trying something a bit different with these guys in that they are 3D printed for sale in high quality flexible resin. I'm definitely not abandoning metal as a release medium, but for more esoteric miniatures that may lack broad appeal, the high cost of moldmaking and metal casting is just not economically viable for me anymore, so this gives us some freedom to produce more wacky stuff and release it much faster. For example, these guys were sculpted back in late 2022 and have languished in the queue for far too long. I should also have some new 6mm scifi 3D printed releases up in a week or two that have been similarly neglected.

I will also unfortunately be executing some price increases across all the metal ranges over the next few weeks. Nothing major, mostly $1 here or there, but some metal 6mm scifi vehicles will see 20% hikes. I hate to do it, but all of my operating expenses are 2x-3x what they were previously and a revision of how I run the business and how I approach new releases is long overdue.

First test prints for bone giants along with some washed pharaoh guard masters, mulling over a Kickstarter for Undead Pharaohs as it’s going to be a big-ish range

The 6mm Fantasy Elven Kingdom army is now up in the store as well as on Etsy. This is a big one for us both because it had been delayed for quite some time, and because it marks our 20th 6mm fantasy army offering!

These were originally meant for release in March but suffered from my slow painting, which means there will be one more release coming in April.

All miniatures sculpted by Martin Baker, with the exception of the Ballistae apparatus. Backdrops by Jon Hodgson Backdrops.

Painting some units for store pics for the Elves. On track for release on 2/16, assuming I can get the dragons painted in time.
