We just started spinning qiviut again. If you have some that needs processing - get it in soon. We will be able to turn it around quickly.

Let me know if it is coming.

Tanana Valley Farmer's Market
11am - 4pm

Today we will be selling our 2ply finger weight qiviut. It is lovely.

Only 3 pints of pasteurized goat milk, and loads of my fabulously smooth and delightful chocolate ice-cream pints and popsicles.

I have the strawberry ice-cream and popsicles too. I’m still perfecting the recipe; they are still yummy.

The new roving situation is still available with the noir silk blends, yak, and camel.

I have a free morning and afternoon. Sitting with my dad to watch the morning news first.

I’m going to pick up the needles and restart my sweater. I purchased the yarn and needles in Edinburgh, Scotland from Kathy's Knits.

I’m using an App titled Tin Can Knits to begin my 3rd attempt - at my 1st Sweater.

The APP has great tutorials and directions.

Hoping someone wants to give it a go too.

FUN spinning sensations!

I saw this lovely knitted sweater..in Scotland… and thought, “We can do that!” OF course I purchased it too!

I had Jessie use Noir Silk at 5%, processed merino at 5% (for stability and some color continuity) and 90% Palmer, Shetland fleece. The white noir silk features a nubby texture, a matte finish, and an earthy feel.

The Palmer fleeces, I have, in storage are long and we have slubbing issues getting them through the spinners. I guess everything grows well in the valley! This is made into roving bumps.

I’d love to have local spinners and felters try and give it a go.

A few days ago I dyed a bunch of different merino skeins black by hanging them in the dye pot. They are ready; dried and skeined for the Saturday Market.

These are suppose to have pops of color when knitting.
