Curly Girl Knits Knitted accessories from a local "Curly Girl" in Fairbanks, Alaska (formerly Ketchikan) I'm a fan of making hats and cowls, but nothing is off-limits!

My grandma taught me to knit when I was in high school, but I dropped the habit due to school and extracurricular activities...now that I'm out of college and working, knitting has become a creative outlet and way to unwind at the end of the day! Plus, Ketchikan's rain forces one to pick up indoor hobbies...

Practice makes perfect, which is why I like to try lots of different patterns and yarns. Please enjoy my knitted treasures--treat yourself to a comfy, cute and warm accessory!

Handdyed yarn is unique, which can be tricky to match skeins, so I was able to arrange skeins into a semi-fade. Definitely a new fav piece 😍😍😍

And just like that, 20 years later after starting undergrad at , I’m back in school as a student again! This past weekend, on top of being the first week of teaching, was orientation for the .anchorage School Psychology (masters) program. Dad was generous to fly up for a visit and make both 6-hour drives with me & enjoy schnitzel at West Berlin. Of COURSE I made a stop at for some amazing yak silk & happened to cross paths with , just 2 weeks after Flock 🤩

I haven’t had ANY time to knit with school starting, and now Zoom classes, homework, etc…life will be looking pretty different for awhile, but excited for new opportunities 🧶💙

Flock treasures! Not nearly as much yarn as I was anticipating but I squished sooo many skeins for “research” purposes for when I need them & know better what to order in the future. Definitely a notions & jewelry fan!
