We have reached Day 14 on our first A.Tenuis test piece in the previously cursed 8’ system!! This is huge! No burnt tips, holding it’s color beautifully and polyped out. I couldn’t be happier!!

Huge milestone reached today in the newer system. We’ve hit the 14 day mark on all these acros and there is still no sign of burnt tips!! I think we have finally mitigated the curse on this system by doing several massive water changes back to back and adding a ridiculous amount of GAC and CAC. I will be re-sending another MS-Organo test in the near future to see what all was eliminated from the last test results. Thanks to Andre Mueller of for helping me figure this out!!

Non-Reef post. Meet Teddy. This handsome boys owners did not deserve this precious soul. I suspect they also abused and neglected him. They wanted to euthanize him. Luckily, Halo Behavioral Consultants stepped in while I happened to be volunteering for them. They asked if we could foster him thru the holidays. Thats all it took. We fell in love with him. The poor guy had no confidence at all. Was scared to go outside or go on a walk. It was sad. After 3.5 months I have worked hard on walks and socializing him and now this guy is doing great!! It’s been 2 years since we had a dog and I am happy he found us! He is the sweetest, happiest loving dog!
