During our adventure to Asheville, NC a few weeks ago, my husband and I found a cute little thrift store. I spotted this glorious vintage quilt, but alas, it was too torn up to use as intended. With the abounding inspiration of galleries and artist studios, I was inspired to figure out another purpose for something so well loved. So far, I have created a zippered bag and two pillow covers. Last weekend I found a small business vendor who was selling mudcloth. I have always wanted to try sewing with mudcloth. It did not dissapoint. Love seeing the variations in texture, dye and weave.
