A little bittersweet moment as one season ends and another begins…

Summer is winding down, fall is right around the corner, and that means back-to-school time!🍎📚 So naturally the girls were at Soft Stitch getting their new pants tailored and ready for school because sometimes the perfect fit makes all the difference. 🥰👖🧵

But walking through those doors carries a little more emotion these days. ❤️

As many of you know, we lost our amazing Carol earlier this year. It was an incredibly hard season, especially as prom approached. Carol and I had so many plans together, and losing her left a space that simply can’t be filled.

I remember Sheila and I saying that somehow, someway, we would push forward for Carol. And that’s exactly what we’ve done. 💕

Every time I walk into Soft Stitch, I can still feel her there, her love, her energy, that strong personality and hardworking soul reminding us to keep going and always greeted with a hug from Sheila that feels like home.

Carol and Sheila spent so many years working side by side. They each had their roles, their routines, and their own special way of making everything come together.❤️ And now, Sheila is carrying that legacy forward, doing her absolute best to continue providing the same care and service this community has relied on for so many years and making her sister proud....
..... And I know Carol would be proud. 🥹💕

If you’re out and about enjoying the fair, don’t forget to show some love to the local businesses, hardworking families, nonprofits, and charitable organizations that put so much time and heart into being there and pouring into our communities. Supporting local truly means more than we sometimes realize. 🥰

With that said, we HAVE to give a shoutout to Pork’s BBQ Pit! 😍🔥 This amazing family owned and operated business absolutely knows what they’re doing!

Just LOOK at this Taco Trio! 🤤 Every bite was packed with incredible flavor, layered with all the goodness, and you can truly tell it’s made with love.

We also saw LOTS of their sampler platters coming out while we were there as well, and let’s just say… that is DEFINITELY our next try! 🤗😍

If you’re at the fair, go show them some love and come hungry, its totally worth it! ❤️🌮
