Personal Application: Have you experienced the abundant life Jesus wants to give you? If not, where are you searching for it? What is the difference between heavenly and earthly treasures? Observe your attitude toward money this week and intentionally seek your satisfaction and enjoyment from God—marveling at His creation, spending time with His people, worshipping Him, reading His Word, and talking with Him.

Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.

Personal Application: Where are you on your journey today and what are you focused on? How can your challenges become opportunities to grow in your faith? Take some time to talk to God right now. Give Him your concerns, fears, and burdens, so you can focus on trusting Jesus.

If we handle frustration like everyone else, we cannot expect the peace and hope to see us through the trials of life. We can expect misery.
