Behold, the basket where I keep my woes! It's loosely woven, so as I carry them all throughout the day, the small ones tend to fall out and then I can take a clear look at my biggest worries -- and set them down if the basket gets too heavy.

Also, I sell clothes & whatnot.

I recognize this is going to sell pretty much instantly, so filling it with stuffed animals was a waste of time. But look how CUTE!

Speaking of haunted images -- I mean things that are just so CUTE! -- check out the blankets being modeled by my son and a friend. They're heart-stoppingly adorable!

in college, I majored in English and everyone asked whether I was trying to become a teacher. my mom really wanted me to at least substitute, as a fall back. but classroom management? so very not for me.

so, I worked as a tutor for a long time. classroom mismanagement is more my style. classroom chaos. I've never met a kid more passionate about learning than one who is doggedly pursuing an interest in something, no matter how much adults try to tell them it's off topic.

so here's to the kids who keep drawing the cool S on every page of their notebook. the kids who just want to sit in the corner and be left alone -- unless you ask them about their OC. the kids who HAVE to climb that tree, just so they can see something new.

here's to making your mistakes fun, and making as many of them as possible.
