Red Tail Forge Works

Red Tail Forge Works was asked to create a piece that would have been used in the home or farm. We decided on an 18th C bread toaster. This piece is going to be part of a museum exhibit. I was honored to be asked and to be chosen to be part of this exhibit. It starts next week. Thank you to Sherri Warner Hunter for selecting Red Tail Forge Works for this event.

Lantern Holders. I don't get to do this type of scrollwork enough. I really enjoy it. A Matching set for a local customer. All of the parts are made here in the shop.

Hinges for Fort Loudoun Tn, These needed to be straightened and the beans rounded. All of them have been reworked and may be ready to rehang the gates.

I only put pictures of new stuff and new ideas on here now. You can only see just so many knives, axes, and hawks.
Here is a new one. The latest colab with Littlebranch Farm. This staircase top rail and bottom rail are made from trees that have been hot-bent and shaped. This home is in aspen country, so all of the pickets are hammered, shaped, and have aspen leaves attached. The leaves are brass-plated with a wire brush.
