Hey! We've got two nice RV camping spots next to our nursery area. It's a long story that grew out of Helene clean up. For booking info go to our we page and click on the Camp with us! link at the top of the page. RV camping is under the name Fiddlehead Creek. Check us out on IG of course. Our founder planted many native azaleas over 25 years ago. Now you can come, relax, and enjoy the colors and fragrances that make deciduous native azaleas so habit-forming.

These beauties are blooming now in the nursery! If you don't see them on the website, it's because of available quantities. If you plan to visit Asheville for the plant show at the WNC Farmers Market (May 1 & 2) or the plant sale at the Native Plant Sale (May 15 &16) we might be able to bring one of these for you. Contact us via DM or through our website (mountainmistnursery.com).

Shipping ends April 30th for the summer, but we're open by appointment all summer. You can also order online for in-person pick up.

This big 'ole ardorescens blooms in our nursery about this time every year... and it FILLS the space with an incredible fragrance!

It's unusual, and we can't say that our stock will behave this way for you, but this is a great time to order! Cooler weather has opened an early shipping window.

NOTE: Plants in pots are actively going dormant, so your plants will arrive with leaves turning loose and looking tired. Please get them in the ground and watered. If you can give them a little fish emulsion, it'll make them less stressed. Keep them moist the first year. Happy fall planting y'all!

The resident R. prunifoliums around the nursery are blooming in their snappy red hues and that reminds us that fall weather is in the foreseeable future. We've been saving up all orders that were placed this summer and will be pulling and separating the good stuff for these early orders so that as soon as the weather is cool enough, we can begin shipping again. 

Due to market conditions and our personal life balance goals, we will be simplifying our website to two price points for most azaleas. One-gallon pots will start at $27 and will be the only plants we ship. Visitors who make appointments to visit in person may pre-order 3 gallon specimens. Once here, folks may find both large 5 and 7 gallon plants. There are some nice looking ferns and woodlands about as well.
