A new western outfit for 18 inch dolls! This is one of the ways we celebrate all the history that Shawnee Indian Mission has seen in the 187 years it has been in Kansas. Three Springs Market is open this Wednesday from 10:00 to 2:00.

Bear is a 5 year old Great Pyrenees mix that came to us back in February. He had been living outside on a chain, was being starved while other dogs on the property were eating well, and has endured ear problems for YEARS!!!😭 Here we are nearly a half a year in to helping Bear. Severe ear problems take time. Typically vets like to try different treatments, see if they work, then get progressively more aggressive with each treatment option. All avenues of helping Bears ears failed, so he had to have a bilateral TECA (Total Ear Canal Ablation), which cost just shy of $4,000. Oh, and by the way, he also has heartworms.😭 Not surprising, since he had been living outside on a chain. While heartworms are a serious problem, we needed to prioritize his ears since they were making him absolutely miserable! Now that his ears have been fixed, we can begin treatment for his heartworms. But in order to be able to do so, we need help raising funds for it. If you can spare missing one coffee this week, or even just $1- every little amount helps! Bear is also looking for his forever home. It would be so wonderful if he could have a family waiting with open arms for him when he is all better, and ready to be adopted.🙏🏼

The person who purchases this little cowgirl outfit will be getting a really good deal! It is going to be cute when complete, but it was so labor intensive! Each ruffle had to be cut, hemmed and gathered. Then the ruffles were all stitched individually onto tiers of fabric. The bodice is completely lined, including the sleeves. This might be the only one of these!

A work in progress.Every little outfit is different. It is fun to see how different elements make clothing feel like it is from a different time period or might bring back memories of one's own favorite garments from childhood.

I am not complaining about being low on inventory. It is a good problem to have but it takes lots of creative productivity to add more doll clothes! This cute Riley Blake fabric and some vintage trim make the job so fun!
