Need to find time for your kids to practice Portuguese?

👉A Simple Weekly Portuguese Routine for Kids 🇵🇹

Monday — Vocabulary Day
Choose five words for the week and practice saying them together.

Tuesday — Music Day
Listen to Portuguese children’s songs during playtime or in the car.

Wednesday — Worksheet Day
Do one short activity, such as matching, tracing, or circling the correct word.

Thursday — Story or Show Day
Read a Portuguese book together or watch a short Portuguese kids’ show.

Friday — Review Day
Go over the week’s words with flashcards, guessing games, or quick questions.

Saturday — Real-Life Practice
Use Portuguese during meals, while getting dressed, on errands, or during playtime.

Sunday — Family Portuguese Time
Review the week’s words, sing a song, and practice a few simple phrases together.

You don’t need to do everything perfectly. Even a few minutes of Portuguese each day can make a difference.

Car rides are a great time to practise Portuguese with your kids. 🇵🇹

When they ask something in English, encourage them to repeat the full question in Portuguese.

For example:

“Are we there yet?”
“Já chegámos?”

These small everyday conversations help children become more comfortable speaking Portuguese naturally. It doesn’t have to be a long lesson. Even a few simple phrases during the day can make a difference.
