This house is just right up the road a piece on Hwy 52 North. The Historical Society in town has worked hard to preserve the Historical home and story of the 1912 Couthouse Tragedy. While some in the community prefer to let the story disappear, for me it's heritage.

I went to see the play one year. It was difficult to see. I cried while others laughed and 'enjoyed the show.' I ducked down behind the bench when the gun shots rang out. It seemed too real to me. My Great Grandmother on my mothers side was just a young girl at the age of 14 at the time. Although my grandmother didn't recall her mother talkin' about the incident, she understood the reason why. Back then when somethin' bad happened here they didn't talk about it or beat it to death. They hushed and let it alone.

Still today some folks who have ancestry connected to the events have taken little to no interest in the History; not because they don't care or want to know, but because it's a sore subject for alot of folks. If it wasn't a true story, laughter might be more appropriate. I imagine the Hatfields and McCoys feel the same way.

We wanted to contribute to the fund raising efforts for the family of fallen Deputy Logan Utt to the best of our ability. We have 15 black and blue mesh bows available for donation only. We will donate ALL procedes from these bows to the wife of Deputy Utt. We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and fellow officers and firefighters of Deputy Utt. We also want to mention that we are praying for you all; and to the other Deputy that was injured, our hearts and prayers are with you! 🙏

🌟 CANCELLATION NOTICE 🌟

Carroll County Sheriff Kevin Kemp was scheduled to lead our Gospel Singing event next weekend. Due to the tragic loss of a Carroll County Sheriff's Deputy in the line of duty, we have cancelled our Gospel Singing event.

We have decided to reschedule the event and make it a benefit fundraiser for the fallen officer's family. We will update you once the new date is selected.

Prayers go out to the officer's family and our community.
