Another finished tapestry experiment…. This one is inspired by the many rabbits that hang out in my garden. It is wet felted using wool, pre-felted pieces, yarn, wool neps, wool locks and silk fibers. I used a birch stick as a hanger.

The first two tapestry experiments are done!
This summer I’m experimenting with wet felting tapestries using wool, cut pre-felt, yarn, silk hankies, viscose and bamboo fibers.
Both of these tapestries were inspired by my summer gardens.

“Raven”
This is a wet felted wall hanging inspired by my recent trip to the north shore of Lake Superior. I used wool and viscose for the background and pieces of pre-felt, felt scraps, wool locks and wool nibs for the foreground. The horizon, white caps on the water and the raven’s beak are needle felted.
