Just here looking like a little farm boy.

But it’s for good reason because I’m holding rudbeckia and daisies and it really doesn’t get much better!!

Days are getting hotter, we are almost done with our grocery 2x weeks, and our actual little farm boy is approaching his 5th birthday.

It’s a busy but beautiful time. We are so lucky to grow these for you 💗

Lilypalooza 2026, no tickets required 😜 🎟️

Tomorrow at the we will have a beautiful display of all the different lily varieties we have right now (I think it’s like, 15 different ones!)

Yes, we know the weather looks a little rainy. We know that might slow some people down. But not YOU. We know it won’t stop YOU!

Come see the lilies and vote 🗳️ for your favorite variety! We will use your votes and feedback on the lily varieties in our write up for the lily trial we are participating in.

Lilies are having a moment.⁠

For a long time they've just been existing in the background. Your grandparents thought they were funeral flowers. You might have a deeply personal grudge against a highly scented oriental lily from 2007. We get it.⁠
⁠
But something is shifting. A cut flower farm we know in New York says lilies are all the rage up there right now. We believe it, and we're seeing it here too. Younger customers picking them up immediately, people coming back every single week. There's a reason we grew close to 9,000 of them this year 🌸⁠

They deliver. They come in surprising colors. They keep opening new buds for days. They put on a show in a vase and then keep going.⁠
⁠
We also rely on them to carry us through the spring-to-summer transition, that window before zinnias and the rest of the summer lineup hit their stride. Which means right now we have a planned overlap of more unique varieties than we'll have at any other point this season.⁠

This Saturday at the Rockwall Farmers Market, you can see them all on display. And if you've been sleeping on lilies, this is the weekend to wake up.⁠

Grab your coffee, it’s time for a farm catchup!

1- kids off for summer means the cousins are here when uncle Connor works on the farm and we love having them around
2- harvest, bouquet, deliver, repeat
3- Sometimes I just have to let this kid do weird stuff while I work
4- Flowers can mean so much. Our market means so much to us. Honoring Claudette this week for the start she gave our business
5- harvesting some super tall super gorgeous lisianthus! Can’t wait for the next batch.
6- bouquets for days!

So much work goes into every single booth you see at the market. Saturdays are when we get to come show off that work to the world and share a little of our passions with all of you.

We've got a birthday boy on the farm!⁠

Between 2x grocery weeks, me being off-farm as an election judge, kid out of school and cousins at the house, farmer's markets, pouring rain, heat, planting, harvesting twice as often as usual, bunching and bouquets, seeding, field management, finances, deliveries, chicken-tending, and more - it would be easy to forget to take a moment to appreciate this dude on his BIRTHDAY!!⁠

Peter is the reason this farm keeps going and getting bigger and better. He's the steady force behind every single day. He wakes up and gets straight to work. ⁠
⁠
I don't know if this is the life either one of us imagined for ourselves, but it is the one we dreamt up together and built, largely thanks to Peter. I couldn't be more thrilled that we ended up here. ⁠

Today and every day we are so grateful for Peter and his birthday deserves to be a big deal, despite him literally never telling anyone it's his birthday.⁠
