UPDATE: It was an honest mistake!! There is one other username on Venmo that is similar to mine and has a “1” at the end of the username. I’m honestly just so happy that it was just a mistake! I changed my Venmo profile picture to have the flower cart in it and I’m going to be adding a QR code to the stand to try to avoid this in the future. Thank you for all the support!😊
Today, someone took a bouquet without paying.
I’m hoping it was simply an honest mistake. If that’s the case, no worries at all. You can still send payment to -kruszka, and we’ll call it even.
If it wasn’t a mistake, I just ask that you remember every bouquet represents months of planning, buying seeds and tubers, planting, watering, weeding, harvesting, and arranging. Most of the money from bouquet sales goes right back into seeds, tubers, and supplies for next year’s garden so I can keep sharing fresh flowers with our community.
This little stand only works because it’s built on trust. I’d really hate to have to install cameras or stop offering a self-serve flower stand because of one bouquet.
To everyone who supports Center St Garden honestly and kindly, thank you. You make this little dream possible, and I’m so grateful for each and every one of you. 🌸
