Hel-Mart Train Room

Letting everyone know i wont be at the Helmart train room on Sat Aug 29th. But dont let your train fix get away cause i'm going to be helping the Eldon Depot Museum with their 25th anniversary in Eldon Ia. Real trains to see, models be running, free watermelon, cookies, live music, and presentations are from 10a- 4p. Hope to see all there.

Well Helmart opens this weekend and i'm having my 70th birthday on friday before- so what better than some ice cream and cake as long as it lasts. Ground hog was wrong so get out and enjoy nice weather.

The train room will be closed Saturday, June 21st. I will be attending a family wedding out of town. We will resume normal hours starting June 28th. Hope everyone enjoys start of summer.

Two notices for the train room.
First- We are an award winning layout! On April 26th, I was awarded the Golden Spike Award by the National Model Railroad Assoc. at the Eastern Iowa Regional meeting in New London IA.
Second notice is that May 10th is National Train Day. We will be open normal hours 9-5 at the HEL-MART building in Farmington, Iowa. Would like to see you out and about that day. Visit your favorite museum, layout, or just track side watching trains. Since I am a volunteer at Eldon Museum in Eldon IA, a heads up, they will be open BOTH days May 10 & 11 for National Train Day also.

➡️ Hel-Mart re-opens for the season on March 2, which means the Hel-Mart Train Room is too....
🥳 2024 marks 20 YEARS of TRAINS!!!!! 🥳
So get out of the house, come for a visit- there's going to be CAKE!! Open 9-5- see you soon!!
