Very, very cool bass. It's got a balance k**b to mix the pickups, volume with a push for coil-tapping the humbucker, and a tone k**b.

Frets were level but flat, so they got a crown/polish. Replaced the partial sandpaper shim with a proper shim and set it up for C-G-C-F tuning. More neck relief and higher action for this player.

A trio from a local nursing home. The new Lifestyle Director found these sitting around unused and wanted to get them playable for the residents. The Peavey has a lifting bridge which took a lot of wood from the soundboard, and it would cost more than the guitar is worth to fix. The other two just need setups and some cleanup on the electronics.

I made this shortly after I got my Geddy Lee signature Fender Jazz Bass back in 2021. Just happened to come across it today. Not much crossover between Rush and XTC, but I love 'em both, so there! And Colin Moulding is such a great bass player! So melodic. I love this bass part.

Trying to get rid of some bellying in the lower bout. The bridge was lifting and there's a pretty serious bulge right at the back of the bridge and just behind it. Clamped it up without heat or steam - this is laminated wood. Don't want it to come apart from steam/heat.

1986 Jazzmaster all cleaned up. Some white lithium grease on the truss rod nut and on the threads of the rod allowed for another few turns of the nut and got rid a ridiculous amount of neck relief.
