Buying Items from Individuals
Furniture
One of the hardest aspects of buying has been furniture. What to buy and how much to pay. We can't and won't buy large, heavy furniture or upholstered items (couches chairs, etc.) Items we think may be something someone would want turn out to be unsellable. Alot of the furniture we bought was later either donated or priced below what we paid.
Our new guideline to buying furniture is:
We are only buying book cases that are small to medium size (no large wall units) in good condition.
We are accepting donations of small pieces (end tables, corner units, etc.) Please contact us before bringing the items in. Items donated can be priced lower. This is positive for the customer.
