HOW TO GET BANNED! Someone we trusted and considered a ‘regular’ was caught stealing from us this weekend. This guy was kind, asked questions and wanted to learn, interacted with people in the store, and has spent countless hours reading in here over the last year. Now we are questioning every kind and curious interaction as a clever con. He waited until staff was busy with other customers to take advantage and made out with well over $100. Our employee felt something wasn’t right about his behavior and we were able to catch him this time. Don’t steal from small businesses, it’s 2026 and we are better than this.

The ancient Gaelic May Day Festival, known as Beltane, is traditionally celebrated on May 1st, marking the start of summer and the midway point between the spring and summer solstice. On this day we celebrate growth, the return of light, fire, and fertility. Beltane is often associated with maypoles, flower crowns, livestock and crops, bonfires, and dancing. Rituals are centered around protection, fertility, honoring the earth and her cycles, the union of Goddess and God, and the sacrality of fire (often in connection to manifestation).

This is the perfect time to plant flowers or herbs and connect with nature, spend a day outdoors or cook a meal with family and friends.
