The Edwards family ask for prayers today as we lay to rest the matriarch of our family Wanda Lou Murphy Edwards. Wanda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She and her husband Reggie Edwards were married for 71 years and would’ve celebrated their anniversary tomorrow. “Reggie” Reginald Edwards started Edwards Music in 1963 and with the support of his wife Wanda made a family business that has prospered through the years. We as a family want to acknowledge the beauty, class, grace and love of our beloved. Wanda was a loving and devoted believer in Jesus Christ. We mourn her loss on this earth but we know she is now with God in heaven. We have been blessed to have known her, loved her and have her love us fiercely back. Raised in an orphanage since the age of 5 she overcame all the difficulties that came with such a difficult childhood. She was the pinnacle of class, always lovely, an amazing cook, and quite the soprano. We will miss her immensely and pray that she will watch over us. We thank God for her and mourn her passing but celebrate her life today. Wanda Lou Murphy Edwards (April 29, 1937- August 24, 2026)
