I cannot resist painting color combinations with our specialty glazes during pumpkin season! I just want to see what ALL the colors look like when layered👀…Today’s pumpkin has a pink based crystal glaze all over it and then four different crystal glazes in different sections to see how the glazes interact with each other . Pumpkins don’t have to be orange when you paint your own 👏 This one won’t be kiln fired for a few days but I’ll post the “After” pumpkin soon.

Do you need an art class activity or need a social outing for a large group of homeschoolers? We are OPEN 11-4pm Monday through Saturday. Reservations are required if you have a group of six or more kids that plan to attend your homeschool meet-up. Call for details about early-bird hours for large groups.

Gift certificates are a great idea for kids and adults because it’s really two gifts in one- The recipient gets the fun experience of painting their own pottery and then they come back to pick up their masterpiece once it’s kiln fired. Do you have relatives out of town who don’t know what to get your kids for birthdays or Christmas? They can call us to purchase a gift certificate and we will mail it directly to the local recipient👍 “Experience gifts” are awesome and we are here to help

The crystal glaze pumpkin is out of the kiln and believe it or not, this is what it looks like “after” it was fired. The specialty glazes are tricky because they go on one color and turn out being completely different. I painted two coats of a purple crystal glaze first and then painted two coats over that with a white one that has blue crystals in it. It was an experiment and I love this combo. We’ve been painting other glaze combo samples to show you at our pumpkin painting event in a few weeks. ⭐️Just to clarify because I know people will ask: These specialty glazes are not available for customer use until our first pumpkin event so make sure you plan to attend. I’ll post all the event details, date, etc this weekend
