Just some guidelines for you although we typically have seen food stay frozen for up to 72 hours depending on how full yiir freezer is

🧊 Freezer (unopened)
• Full freezer: About 48 hours
• Half-full freezer: About 24 hours

That’s if you keep the door closed. Every peek lets cold air escape, so resist the urge unless you really need to check.

❄️ Fridge (unopened)
• Food stays safe for about 4 hours.

How to tell if frozen food is still safe

If the power comes back on:
• Food that still has ice crystals or feels 40°F or below can usually be refrozen.
• If it’s completely thawed and above 40°F for more than 2 hours, it’s safest to toss it.

A tip for next time (if you don’t already do this): freeze a small cup of water and put a coin on top. If the power goes out and the coin sinks to the bottom, you’ll know everything fully thawed.
