You never know what life can bring your way.
I graduated high school in 1992 and four years later in 1996 I was building pots, all because a friend said I should take a night class at a community college just for fun to stay busy, flipped through the classes math, math, math, nope nope nope 😂 and saw hand building pottery YES!!! Stay open to new experiences and get out of your comfort zone, I was really shy, not outgoing in public. Now all these years later, many years later 😉,
I teach classes the same way I was taught ..
It’s funny how life leads you along.
My dream jobs would have been
1. Mounted Policeman
2. Art Teacher
Funny enough I think I would have been good at both . But here I am a potter.

We finally made it up to the York State Fair to see how our pieces did . It’s always fun to enter our work. So many really great artists in so many different mediums. We did notice a big growth in the Lego entries and Diamond art, met a few other artists checking in on their own pieces , it’s always nice to meet the actual makers.
We will call her “The table mover” She painted a beautiful tiered table, and for whatever reason the display team sat it high on the levels and you couldn’t see her art work. The problem was corrected before she left 😉. 
It’s not just about ribbons, it’s the participation in community events. Enjoying the hours of work and dedication to a hobby or profession and sharing them with others. You never know if it will light a spark in someone and they will begin to create.

I would say not to bad for two girls that are self taught artists 😉

Edit: After looking back at pictures this is our 7th year.
Our 4th year entering the York State Fair.
Mom brought 3 paintings 😍, Red Maple trees from original photo taken by Abbie Sealover, Monkey at Market from original photo taken in Djibouti Africa by Dalton Channell and her own version of hunting for a Christmas tree. I brought one of my largest oldest piece a OG 1996 tall vessel😊,colander, mugs, my fish sculptures, and TILES😄, and slab dish, and Joines family King syrup can❤️. Chris entered a Burlwood bowl a piece of wood we received from my Dads special wood collection 💕🕊️. We think we represented ourselves well,
It’s all for fun, we were able to browse a few pieces while there and the art and antiques just get better and better every year.
My Mom says her Red Tree Lane oil painting will be for sale 😉,
