It IS flower season! 💃💃💃 This is the peak! The pinnacle! The apex! Our roadside stand is stocked and OPEN and our You Picks are ready for you! We are open seven days a week, from 9 AM to 7 PM! We only have a couple weeks of flowers left before we close up shop, so don’t miss out! 🤗

Can you see it now? When separated, the difference in dahlias becomes more apparent! Some face upright, some are forward facing, some have an ombré appearance, some have a change of color in their petals, some petals curl inward, some pedals cup more than curl!

Whew! All that I know is that I’m glad I don’t hybridize dahlias😅because the details are something else!

There were four varieties of dahlias in this bunch of orange/peach dahlias! Congrats to Monica for being the first to guess correctly! 💐

The rain hit all of us but this is the water the flowers needed! ☔️ We are still ON for Flower Fest tomorrow, Monday September 7! Come anytime between 9 AM to 7 PM and pick some flowers. Weather permitting, we will have music playing and a few animals out for viewing between 10 AM and noon. The flowers may be a little damp but they are still beautiful!

PS: YES, these are real flowers, picked straight from our field tonight! Can anyone guess how many different dahlia varieties are pictured here? The winner gets to take home a bouquet containing one of each of them! 😉

Believe me, I don’t know all there is to growing cut flowers, not even close! But I love to share what I do know to encourage other growers, people who like to learn, and those who need to satisfy their current hyper-fixation! 😅
