🌱 VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: Matta Farms 🌱

Meet Matta Farms, a local farm right here in Nassau County that's growing right along with everything they're planting. 🌱

One of the things I really appreciate about Matta Farms is their transparency and genuine passion for what they do. His love for growing is obvious, but what really stands out is how much he enjoys connecting with his customers, talking about what he's growing, and sharing that knowledge. That kind of passion is pretty outstanding.

They're using succession planting to keep fresh vegetables coming more consistently throughout the growing seasons, while continuing to expand what they're able to produce.

From tomatoes, sweet potatoes, eggplant and pumpkins to herbs, seedlings and some seriously impressive basil plants 🌿, there's always something growing.

I love having Matta Farms as part of our little Pogo's Market family and getting to watch this local farm grow from the ground up. ❤️

We’re adding a little midweek market to the mix!

Starting Wednesday, September 16th, the Wednesday Market will be happening on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 9 AM to 1 PM.

Expect a thoughtfully curated mix of local makers, coffee, food trucks, growers, artists and small businesses, with different vendors joining us throughout the season.

🎉 September 16th is our very first Wednesday Market!

Come wander through, shop local, meet some great small businesses and help us kick off something new on the south end of the island.

🌿 YESTERDAY WAS SUCH A GOOD MARKET!

I seriously love what this little market is becoming. 💚

There’s just something about hanging out under those big oaks, listening to live music, grabbing a drink, wandering through the tents and seeing what all of our local vendors brought that week.

Thank you to everyone who came out, shopped, hung around, talked with us and supported these small businesses. You guys are helping us turn this into a pretty special little Saturday spot.

And our little canopy village just keeps growing. 🌿

Some snacks are just snacks... and then there’s candied popcorn.

This week I’m excited to spotlight Pappy’s Candied Popcorn, a new Northeast Florida small business bringing homemade gourmet popcorn to the market in all kinds of fun, sweet flavors.

Pappy’s is all about taking something as simple as popcorn and making it a whole lot more interesting. Sweet, crunchy, homemade, and definitely the kind of thing where you tell yourself you’re only having a handful... and then suddenly you’re staring into an empty bag wondering what happened. 😂

Pogo’s Market may not be the biggest market around, but that’s kind of what makes it special.

It’s thoughtfully curated, cozy, quaint, and intentionally kept that way. A place where you can actually slow down, wander through the vendors, talk to the people who grow and make what they sell, and enjoy your Saturday morning.

There’s live music with Kevan Wilson Music, shaded seating, local farmers, growers, artists and makers, plus coffee and fresh pastries from Pogo’s Kitchen.

Grab a mimosa or Bloody Mary, sip while you shop, listen to some music, and spend a little time supporting local.

It’s not about having rows and rows of vendors.

It’s about good people, good products, good music, and a really nice place to spend your Saturday morning. 🤍
