Today being Father’s Day, I thought I’d honor my Father in a different way…he has been gone for almost 4 years now.
He loved fishing, gardening, America, The Mariners and The Seahawks, flying his airplane, my chocolate chip cookies and listening to the rain (among many other things) but most of all his Faith and his Family.
He was the one who taught me how to use a scroll saw which I use almost daily in the making of all of my wood projects.
Before he met my Mother, he served in the Navy from 1957-1961 on The Princeton and the USS Midway (which is now a museum)
My mother recently has been going through old letters she kept from when he was in the Navy.
My Dad had the most beautiful handwriting and I thought I’d share some of the letters he wrote.

Letters he lovingly wrote to his Mother before he met my Mom.

What a PAIN!
Ain’t NOBODY got time for this!
We had the water off all day…if not, this trench would have been filled with muddy water.
When Scott got home from work, he continued digging and now is on his way to Lowe’s before it closes at 10:00-all this after working a 12 hour day 🥹
He thinks he may have found the problem though…fingers crossed & prayers please!

***UPDATE-Scott was up at daylight and was able to cap the hose for now-I turned the water back on and no rushing water came out! It’s a temporary fix, we lost water to 2 spigots BUT we will have water in the house!
He’s now off to work his 12 hour day-gotta LOVE a hard working man♥️
