We have dried Marshmallow root $15 per bag🫶

The marshmallow in your hot cocoa has not contained a single trace of actual marshmallow plant since sometime in the mid-twentieth century. The original confection was made by whipping the mucilaginous root of Althaea officinalis into something light and sweet, and it was genuinely better than what replaced it. The plant itself is a four-foot perennial with velvety soft leaves, pretty pink and white flowers, and roots you can harvest in fall to make the real thing. It also happens to fix compacted soil, feed pollinators, provide habitat and practically grow itself once it is established. Six reasons it deserves a spot in more gardens are in the comments.
