For most of my life, I have worked in conservation.
I've helped people think differently about wildlife habitat, water resources, golf courses, nature centers, communities, and the environment.
Recently, I realized that many of us have another conservation opportunity sitting right inside our own homes.
It's called C.R.A.P.
Conserved Resources Awaiting Purpose.
Think about it.
How many items are sitting in your closets, garage, attic, basement, storage unit, or spare room that still have value but are simply waiting for a new purpose?
Some may be sold.
Some donated.
Some repurposed.
Some recycled.
Some simply rediscovered.
To explore this idea, Theresa and I have launched a new blog:
Dodson C.R.A.P.
The blog will share stories, lessons learned, successes, mistakes, and practical ideas for turning overlooked resources into new opportunities.
We'll also share stories about our own official Dodson C.R.A.P., because everything we sell through The Conservation Company began as a Conserved Resource Awaiting Purpose.
Our hope is to encourage others to take inventory of their own C.R.A.P., discover hidden value, reduce waste, and perhaps even make a little money along the way.
