So this has been an "interesting" day (some of you know how I use that word...). PennDOT called earlier to tell us Rt. 88 will be closed at the Beach House Restaurant from August 2nd through 17th. Thus, approaching the shop from the north will require a detour - we aren't sure what they will have posted as the detour.

If you are planning on visiting us for the Sidewalk Celebration or the All Mid-Atlantic Shop Hop, you may need to plan for a bit of extra travel time! So sorry!!!!

The Southwester PA Shop Hop will be May 11th to 16th this year! And the Passport Premiere Party will be April 11th!

April 11th is your first chance to purchase the passport for the eight stop hop, while enjoying a technique demo, a little treat, and the first block pattern for the 2026 hop progressive quilt. We can’t wait to welcome you!

Once again, new fabrics are everywhere! Be sure to look for new spring pieces, new batiks, new baby prints, and on, and on when you next visit!

One of the new lines in the shop is Northcott’s Whisper. The prints offer an elegant, serene take on dandelions and dragonflies. The watercolor style prints are worked in a range of color from teal to cobalt. You will find a striking panel piece, coordinates, and even a backing print - each more gorgeous than the last. These will be striking in a wide range of projects - perfect for everything from quilts to garments.

Be sure to check out Marcia Derse’s The Plaid One collection when you next visit! The plaids in the group are worked in vibrant colors, in a less rigid layout - maybe a little different than you would expect… Names like String Theory Plaid, Linoleum Plaid, and Window Pane give you an idea of the quirky nature of the group. Debbie cut right into them for her version of Villa Rosa’s Jasper. Don’t you love the way the fuchsia, lime, and melon plaids work together?!

Please take a look in your QC date book to see details related to our celebration of PB&J Day in the shop. We use the April 2nd event as a way to support the local, independent food pantry. It’s great fun - you bring a little something for the food pantry (pb&j of course!) and you get a little goodie from us - win, win!!!
