Hello again!! In addition to adding the samples of some of my recent creations in my previous post, I wanted to add several examples of my work with a couple of local brides a few years ago. I was approached by a coworker to make custom wedding invitations, RSVP, and thank you cards for her wedding. It was a magical moment and I said "of course! I'm so touched and would LOVE to do it!!" My approach was to create invitations designed specifically for this special couple. I invited the couple to meet with me for an hour so I could interview them - asking lots of questions about them individually and as a couple so I could design their invitations specifically for them. My goal was to ensure it was truly a one of a kind invitation that represented who they are and where they were getting married/celebrating. I then designed several different versions for them to look at and based on their feedback, I could "mash" ideas together to make the perfect invitation for them. Natalie and Ian were literally a little speechless after sharing the design samples with them - I wasn't sure if they actually like them at first. But when Natalie finally spoke, she said "Oh my gosh, you're making our wedding look better than anything we were thinking it would be!" Whew!! In fact, Natalie's mother loved what I did so much that she asked me to also design the bridal shower invitations! They loved both sets of invites and received many compliments for having them designed. Not long after, another friend/coworker asked me to do the same for them. Needless to say, McKenzie and Eric were so excited to share these with their family and friends as well. Both weddings were completely different - just like the couples themselves. I truly enjoyed these experiences and look forward to accepting more requests for event invitations. Enjoy!!
