cher oversaw its transition from a general store to an antique store and museum. Unfortunately, Charlene passed away in October 2015. The family is working on returning the store closer to its original condition. We’re very focused on preserving the history of the store, our family, and the community. Whenever you stop by, you'll find multiple generations of Fischers either hard at work, eating sausage, or telling stories. There was nothing Charlene loved more than sharing her knowledge of that history with visitors to the store - always accompanied with a huge smile! She was way more interested in talking with customers than selling antiques. We hope to continue sharing the history with the same enthusiasm. We're sure that Charlene is looking down and is very pleased with the changes we're making. In addition to a more expansive museum, we'll have some unique and wonderful retail items for sale.
