Hard Enduro Outfitters started in November 2018 in Cave Creek, Arizona — not as a storefront, but as a small, rider‑driven hard enduro support crew built around Sherco and the unforgiving world of Hard Enduro.
Two people shaped everything from day one:
• Wayne Dickert — race‑support leader, technical mentor, and the steady presence behind HEO’s early identity.
• Mitch Carvolth — rider, builder, and the person who managed the shop starting in 2018, keeping operations, inventory, and rider support running from day one.
Together, Wayne and Mitch built HEO into a race‑born support system long before it became a formal business.
2018–2020 — Sherco & HEO Join Forces
HEO opened its first Cave Creek location and grew alongside Sherco USA, who handled all U.S. distribution at the time:
• Importation • Dealer development • Racing partnerships • Factory1 Racing Team development
HEO became a trusted resource for riders navigating parts availability, bike setup, and the demands of hard enduro.
2020–2023 — The Race Support Era
*HEO moved to a larger second location in Cave Creek with expanded retail and workshop space. During this period, HEO worked closely with Sherco USA to support rider development and help build future hard enduro talent.
•Wayne’s race‑day support and Mitch’s hands‑on management made HEO a reliable force while Sherco USA continued to grow its national footprint.
2023–2025 — Surviving Industry Changes
*Mitch’s expertise eventually led him to work directly for Sherco USA as an account manager, strengthening the connection between HEO and the brand even further.
*A major shift came in June 2025, when Sherco US officially launched as the new national distributor, replacing Sherco USA.
• Sherco USA operated until mid‑2025 • Sherco US launched with a new structure focused on stabilizing parts availability, improving logistics, and strengthening dealer support • Factory1 Racing Team discontinued
*HEO stepped up during the transition:
• Stocking parts during the distributor handoff • Helping riders adapt to new support channels • Maintaining continuity for Sherco owners across the U.S.
